In my first seminary class on sermon preparation, we used a very helpful book
for young preachers that taught us to use seven different methods in
developing sermons. It is called Methods in Sermonizing by Dr. A.J.
Kirkland. It costs about $4.00 and can be ordered from Bogard Press at
1-800-264-2482. Dr. A.J. Kirkland was President of Texas Baptist
Institute-Seminary in Henderson, Texas which is affiliated with the American
Baptist Association: ABAaptist.org
