SHOULDERS ---- EMERGENCY PRAYER

My Dear Friend:

>From its inception in December, 1997, I have only sent a special
unscheduled letter one time. This one is the second. I send it because
our hearts are broken over what is happening in Kosova. It is another
repeat of the agony, suffering, and murderous destruction of Croatia and
Bosnia. The Nato attacks began earlier this evening.

Jo Ann and I have made six trips to Croatia and Bosnia since early 1995,
and are planning our seventh trip this coming May with another to follow
next Fall. We have seen first hand the consequences and continued
suffering of Croat, Czek, Bosnian, and Serb alike. Because of the
destruction of property, land, and life that we have personally seen, we
weep to imagine what is happening tonight in Kosova.

Our oldest daughter and her husband returned to our home earlier today
from missionary orientation in Springfield, MO. While they were there,
they received the following letter from missionaries to Kosovo who are
enduring the destructive genocide from the Serbian army.

As you read this letter, please pray for this brother, the believers
there, and the citizens of that country. I have included his name and
his e-mail address. I would urge you to write him to let him know of
your continued prayer.

Remember that three days have transpired since the following letter was
written, and the Nato air attacks have commenced.

SUBJECT: War News

Dear Brothers and sisters,

Once again from Prishtina of course not with good news at all. Situation
has got worse, and more of it, every minute it is getting worse. Today
for the first time since war began, we see Christian refugee family
forced to leave their home. War is all out around Prishtina centere.some
part of town are totally empty tonight.

Last night according to some news reports 4 Serbian police were killed in
Prishtina (capital). All Albanian schools and university are closed
today (in Prishtina also). There will be no teaching anymore for some
time.

In other parts of Kosova fights went on as worse as before. Many people
are dying every moment. The situation is tragic.

Tonight some bombs went off in Prishtina again. So many new refugees are
coming here. There is no food left at us here in our Humanitarian depos.
Tonight also we sent to all of you a urgent plea to help us in
Humanitarian matter with food. Everything will be welcomed for us. We
trust that this call won't fall in deaf ears.

War in within our homes is a matter of minutes and nothing less.

We will come together for Prayer and Fasting tomorrow at 11 oclock as the
Church.

Please continue to pray for Church and for God's people here in Kosova.

Pray for the world diplomacy to be wise and bring decisions in favor of
Peace and Justice.

Pray for refugees all around Kosova.

>From our harts we sent Thanks to all of you who wrotte to us, at these
times writing to us is very much appreciated and encourages us a lot.

We will keep informing you as far as phone connection will remain.

Christian Greetings,

Living for Jesus in Kosova,

Driton Kransniqi
