Embracing Sola Scriptura will radically alter your attitudes. It arouses profound gratitude to God for His rich supply to His children of “everything we need for life and godliness.” It inspires confidence in the Word of God as the complete, perfect, all-embracing, and all-sufficient revelation from God that it will never need amendment, correction, or supplementation. It begets humility regarding your own opinions and a deep suspicion toward your autonomous conscience and reason. It produces admiration and appreciation for the larger body of Christ in other times and places and the documents (creeds, confessions, catechisms, commentaries) which they have labored to leave for our understanding and benefit. And finally, it encourages submission to Scripture’s God who alone has ultimate authority in your life – the One who is in charge and who gets the final word.

Since it has been so hot and humid the last few days, I have hung out a lot in my office. We have a window AC unit in our bedroom.  Our bedroom opens off the office.  So, we leave the door open to the office and we have 2 rooms with AC. I think the puppy LIKES AC.  🙂  She whines outside the door if we are not in here.  She sleeps under my feet at the computer when I am on it.  When I was folding clothes, she curled up right next to my foot to sleep.  Right now, she is sleeping on my tote bag that is next to me on the desk.  🙂  We were playing tug of war with something and she got wore out.  We are getting her a collar today.  She wants to go where ever she likes.  I take her out to go to the bathroom and carry her a long ways from the house and let her down.  She runs to the front of the house and goes on the driveway (gravel and grass) before I can get her.  At night when I go out with her, she takes off and since she is so little we are afraid she might become an owl snack.  I want to be able to control where she goes when we are outside.  She is smart, but this getting up in the night is killing me.  🙂  If she were about 2 weeks older, I would see if she could hold it.  I forgot how much work a puppy is.  I am grateful for her though and I love to cuddle her.
