So Many Books to read.....

Posted by: Blc914 <Blc914@...>

Well, I ran into the library today just to deal with a past due notice my son
received -- he is certain he returned the book, but we couldn't find it on
the shelf, so the next place to look is under his bed and in his closet! --
ANYWAY -- I decided to peruse the new books and found 3 to read -- like I
need more to read!!!!!

2 are Christian Fiction and the other is a Secular book.

I read very little secular stuff and may not read this -- the last time I got
a John Grisham it sat in the basket until it was due -- I never read it. This
is a Mary Higgins Clark -- I really like mysteries -- haven't ready anything
of hers in a while -- we shall see if I like this newest one of hers or if it
sits in the basket for 2 weeks -- the title is On the Street Where You Live.

The 2 Christian books look good -- The first is City of Angels by Tracie
Peterson and James Scott Bell -- it is the first book in the Shannon Saga and
is set in the courtrooms of 1903 Los Angeles with a female attorney -- I was
headed to law school at one time -- dropped that foolishness, but still have
a love of things legal -- one of my minors in college was Criminal Justice
and I even went on and took the coursework to be a paralegal! So this one
should be good for me!

The other is Child of Grace by Lori Copeland -- Dee Henderson wrote a glowing
review on the backcover -- you better be right Dee Ü

Speaking of Dee... I got an email listing all her in the works book including
The Protector due out very soon! Looking forward to it. My 13 yo has just
read the Negotiator and enjoyed it. She has the other 2 to read also and
will be thrilled to hear there is a 4th coming.

I know we have other authors on here -- forgive me for not remembering who
all is here other than Dee and Cheryl -- PLEASE email us any info on upcoming
books so we can be watching for them!

I am in a 'I must finish these books before I read something else mode" -- I
have 2 non-fiction books I have been reading for a month -- they are
wonderful, but they have been interrupted by other books -- you know new
stuff, something someone says you just have to read! So I am finishing up
Feathers In My Nest by Beth More and a Max Lucado -- I wil never get this
title right -- A Gentle Thunder -- I think! I will say that it is interesting
to me that each of these books has a chapter on John 15 and Secrets of the
View (one of those books that interrupted these 2) was based on John 15 --
think God is trying to tell me something!!!

Si now I have these new fiction books to read but I MUST finish the other 2
books first -- well, I should, shouldn't I -- but then one of these new
fiction books would be nice to read right before bedtime tonight -- you know
relaxing...... and I could still read the non-ficiton ones in the morning...
sure ... that's it! Ü

I just love new books!!!!
