Stepper Motor Controllers?

There was a thread a while back about some ADB controllers, but these
seemed more like for controlling on/off type things such as lamps,
appliances,etc.

Is there anybody anybody knows of who produces an interface with or without
software that can control stepper motors for Macintosh based robotic
control?

Any pointers welcome. Thanks.
