Switching network ports

Is it possible, and if so, how does one use FB/toolbox/asm to switch one's
network port? i.e. switch from the Printer port to the Ethernet port
(analogous to going to the AppleTak control panel and switching from
Printer Port to Ethernet). I want to make a simple little prog that when
double clicked would switch between them. Or, maybe two seperate
programs, one to switch to printer port,ne to switch to ethernet.
