teaching disagreement

Tired of only getting Spam on this account thought I would try to stir
things up a bit. This is more a question for the worship list but I dropped
out a while back because I was spending too much time reading email (I'm
never satisfied I guess)

Have you ever been asked to lead song worship when what was being taught
from the pulpit went totally against what you believe on a subject? I don't
want to make this specific but I am talking about a short conference.
Otherwise I agree with basically everything I hear taught.

How I have handled this so far; sat with the Pastor and told him why I
objected. At first I said I personally couldn't participate. When I saw
the team wouldn't lead without the guitar player (they know nothing about
why I wasn't going to be part of this) I decided I would go, keep quiet, and
just worship. Conference is next weekend.

How do I know if I am I being mature or just being a pushover?
