As a mom of three teenage sons, I understand you plight.
Young men really start to become independent at this age - especially when
they are allowed the adult responsibility of driving. My oldest wanted to
stay out late too. When he turned seventeen I started giving him more
freedom. I did give him an appointed time to be home though( which was
tough because we live out in the country- he had to leave an hour early in
order to be on time!) I also let him stay with friends. Boy it's hard to
let go. I spent many nights up worrying and praying! I really feel we
haven't had the problems some parents have had with their teens because we
realized that our boys were becoming young men and gradually let them
develop more independence as they matured.
You will get through it! I did! Now I have another one who is ready to
drive! arghh.Blessings,
Patricia
