THANKFUL, I LOOKED UP TO HEAVEN

Thankful, I looked up to heaven,
And spoke to God my gratitude
For blessings given, seventy times seven,
For clothing, home and plenteous food.

But more than these, my greatest treasure
Is God's communion, by Jesus' death,
His unseen presence without measure,
Eternal life by the Spirit's breath.
