The Guardian by Dee Henderson

I am an avid reader. I typically read one or two Christian fiction books
a week. I just finished this book by Dee Henderson. As a man, I usually
find that female authors don't portray men very well. Dee Henderson
has done an excellent job here. And in explaining the family dynamics
of the O'Malley family, she has done a masterful job of making the people
real. She fleshes out the characters so well, I felt I knew them by the
end of this book.

And she did not compromise at all on the Christian message. It was both
consistent and sound in theology. This means a lot to me as I find all
too many authors seem to write a book and then go back and work in
the gospel content just enough to sell to a Christian audience.

The book, itself, was actually the second book in the series, but I didn't
realize this until I had already started reading. I will be reading the
first, third and forth as soon as I can get my hands on them. I found
that the research done to present the various aspects of forensic
investigation, as well as the criminal investigation carried out by
the protagonist, Marcus, were as accurate as anything I have read
previously.

For a really enjoyable suspense thriller, this will serve well.
