The Long & Short of ministry reading

Posted by: janetbly <janetbly@...>

I have had the privilege of both reading and witnessing the ministry effect of two very different novels in recent days: Randy Alcorn's DOMINION and new author Alan Maki's A CHOICE TO CHERISH. DOMINION is 600 plus pages and A CHOICE is a mere 184, yet both are impacting lives. Very different in content, yet both dealing with critical relational issues. DOMINION's length demands a serious reader, but what a life-changing event. A CHOICE is quickly completed in one or two sittings, but what an impact. My own unsaved mother was touched, as well as a friend's husband who has deep unresolved unforgiveness issues with which to deal. The gospel is there, strong and true. So is an entertaining, emotion packed story.
