THE LORD COMPLETELY SATISFIES

The Lord completely satisfies,
And I shall never want or need;
The sovereign shepherd, kind and wise,
Provides for those who follow his lead.
He gives to me the finest wheat
And sweetest honey from the rock;
His shade protects from summer heat,
His copious springs refresh his flock.
When men play foul, when hopes but fade,
And times suspend my deep desires,
It's then I turn to him for aid:
The Lord completely satisfies.
