THE POWERS THAT BE

The Lord ordained the powers that be,
Of men on earth, of winds that blow,
Of silent beasts beneath the sea,
Of molten rock in upward flow,
And space that swallows energy.
While God keeps all the powers in tow,
None of them can threaten me.
