the safety of loved ones

Posted by: empalo <empalo@...>

Deanna and all,
I am so happy your husband made it safely to Germany. You must feel so much better knowing he will be on
his way home.
Last night I tossed and turned in bed, trying so hard to understand this horrid attack on our country. Trying
to make it more real to me than just seeing the pictures on TV that seemed surreal by thinking about the
families so devestated and praying for them.
My sister called from Boston about 11 p.m. her time, frightened by the sound of fighter jets flying over her
house every 15 minutes. She said it was like living in Israel.
My oldest daughter is a computer specialist with high security clearance for the Army National Guard, she
thought this was a good way to pay for her college and not have loans. Now she is worried that if war arrises
from this, her life will change completely. She is on alert status.
So many things to pray about since yesterday. So many things seem trival that were problems two days ago.
The things I thought were sure, like our countries safety, are not sure. Only one thing is sure, and that is
the Love of God, the Hope of salvation and the power of the cross.
May God bless us all.
