by J. Randal MathenyThe smaller joys are joyous still,
Though Jesus makes the spirit swell;
The little pleasures best can thrill
Those minds that on redemption dwell.The earth with all its wonders holds
The gaze of saints with celestial hope;
The river's turns and mountain's folds
Were made for men with heaven's scope.The hands of time so quickly turn,
Its marching hours and minutes flee;
They most can finitude's lessons learn
Who step to God's eternity.Please share today's poem, as is, with a friend.
