THESE HOLY THOUGHTS I NEED
by J. Randal MathenyThese holy thoughts I need, I need,
To keep my feet upon your Way:
You, O Lord, will not mislead,
Your faithfulness will not betray.You give me, fill me, satisfy,
With your good grace I'll never want;
I overflow with your supply,
For mercy is a ceaseless font.Your peace becomes my cup to drink,
To soothe my every anxious thought;
When tired or troubled, I can think
That no good work will come to naught.You do not judge by merit or worth,
For I have nothing good to give;
But purity comes from the new birth,
And Christ gives path and power to live.For faith, for glory is your design,
To me your finest gifts accrue;
No laden thoughts of me, nor mine--
All my thoughts must be of You.1. Your feedback is important -- strike that
