by J. Randal MathenyThe fool feels nothing, 'til he's roughed and slapped,
The simple takes on faith the lies he hears,
The one who loves the old is slow to adapt. The pleaser of the crowd's defined by peers,
To hide his lack the bald man wears a cap,
To feed their gossip, tattlers have itchy ears. The libertine is easy prey for the trap,
Agressive bullies challenge to a fight,
Always tired, the lazy dreams of a nap.For silent space the pining poets write.
