Toshiba Satellite Laptop

I dusted off my Toshiba Satellite S509 that I bought new in 2009 to see if it will work with Windows 10 and give to a friend who is w/o a computer. I thought it had Windows 7 Pro on it, but it is actually Windows Vista Home Premium, which won't even update any more. I am not a laptop person. I bought it thinking I would use it away from the house, but never really liked it all that much.To some of you who are more laptop savvy, do I now own a good doorstop, or is there any good use for it now?Tom EstesBishop, TX--
