True Devotion

A couple of weeks ago I had a marathon of reading fiction and since then I
have not been able to get into anything fiction. Guess I had an overload! But
this week I did sit down and finally recover! I have just finished Dee
Henderson's True Devotion. So good! I would have read it in 1 day, but as
always life gets in the way. In fact, yesterday I was headed to do my Quiet
Time and the dog wanted out. I knew he would eventually bark and interrupt
me, so I decided not to start my Quiet Time until he came back inside.
Instead, I sat down with Dee's book. An hour later, long after the dog was
back in!, I headed to my Quiet Time! I told God it was Dee's fault for
writing such a gripping plot! 😀The book is set in California in a Navy SEALS community. I am terribly
unfamiliar with the SEALS and it was neat to read about them. This work
combines romance and intrigue. It is about putting our pasts behind us and
moving forward. And it is about returning to God. You will love all the
characters, especially Joe and Kelly. I even grew to love Nick, who has been
dead for 3 years, but is still a vital part of this book.I am looking forward to reading the sequel and any others Dee writes in this
series. Thanks Dee!Barb C.
