UNITED PRAYER in NEW JERSEY

NOTE: In Olathe, Kansas (part of Kansas City) last year, about
eight different fellowships all volunteered to do a "month each" of
24/7 prayer - one after the other. (ie. Having a prayer room with at
least one person in at all times - praying night and day for a whole
month). This was inspired by the 24/7 prayer movement in Britain.
I heard them share about the wonderful things that happened at a
meeting a couple of weeks ago. -Very inspiring. And I know that
after that, at least one of these fellowships has had 24/7 prayer
running continuously ever since - mainly for 'REVIVAL'.Below is an account from New Jersey of different fellowships that
are beginning to pray together for an outpouring of the Holy Spirit:UNITED PRAYER in NEW JERSEY
-by 'Papa Carchy'.Six months ago 7 churches in Northern New Jersey began meeting
monthly praying for awakening. We have been faithful to gather
each month, and God is beginning to draw others into our alliance
of praying churches. We have managed to keep our agenda simple -
praying for humility, repentance, and great conviction on the church
concerning the Word of God. Take a look at cryforawakening.org for
a little more information. In our particular local church we have seen great grace poured out
to pray. We went from being very weak in intercessory prayer to
prayer meetings beginning to break out almost every day. We have
prayer gatherings on Tuesday and Thursday mornings at 5:30 am
as well as several other times a week. We are humbled by the
kindness of God in pouring out the energy and commitment to
seek Him. We have a vision of 100 churches praying together for
revival. However, we are not promoting or putting forth a "program"
of prayer. We are trying to be single minded and to avoid the
temptation to self-promotion.
