Jesus said that we will know the truth about Himself only if we are willing to do His will, that is, if we allow ourselves to be changed by the truths we find in Scripture. He said, 'If any man's will is to do His will (that is, if he determines to do it), he shall know whether the teaching is from God or whether I am speaking on my own authority' (John 7:17). We must not assume that we will be able fully to understand any passage of Scripture unless we are willing to be changed by it.

Thanks again to everyone that prayed. Hubby is finally home. I picked him
late yesterday afternoon. I had a horrible time sleeping though. He was so
tired he snored and I'd gotten used to having the bed to myself...but I'm
still thankful to have him home! His company gave him the rest of the week
off paid to recuperate so we'll have him all to ourselves for a few days.
Then he dropped the bombshell that he must fly out again next week, this
time in the US. We'll see if the planned meetings are cancelled when he goes
back to work next week. I feel so thankful right now that he has a job.
We have so many friends without jobs right now.
