update on Jan

I saw my friend Jan at church today. It has been many weeks since we visited. I learned that the first week of March, she returned to Health Quarters in Colorado for help in her cancer battle. She attended her first lodge session with them about 8 1/2 years ago. During this visit, she found they have made changes in their program so she's doing some things differently while some things remain the same. Currently she is detoxing and following their dietary recommendations. I wasn't aware until today that her oncologist had told her that the recommended chemo protocol was going to add just two years to her life. Jan told the doctor that she'd rather have two years of life, not two years as an invalid. The chemo was supposed to be low-dose and was given just once a week, but it was still taking a big toll on Jan. She cancelled all of her chemo appointments and isn't planning to have any tests for maybe a year. Her appetite is returning somewhat. She is VERY thin. According to her, some days she eats like a pig, other days she can't eat anything. I think her hair is starting to grow again but she was still wearing a scarf today. Over and over as people came up to us, she stated that she is believing she is healed. She mentioned something about having a spot in her left lung. I'm not sure if that is new or what it means. After her first trip to Health Quarters, she followed their program and was healthy for eight years before the cancer returned.

Please continue to pray for Jan for healing, for strength, for the ability to eat again. Thanks! Lisa NM
