Let’s never be intimidated or depressed by our ordinariness and inadequacy and unimpressiveness. Most of us are quite ordinary. All of us can improve our preaching, and we will. But the sacred given is the message of the cross, which the Holy Spirit empowers in men of the cross. Let’s not disempower it. Let’s trust God’s strategy. God Himself entered into His own strategy through an egoless nobody named Jesus Christ, whom this brilliant world crucified. That Christ is sending us out to preach His message by His power. We are fully equipped in every essential with the testimony of God, the message of Christ crucified, and the power of the Holy Spirit. Will you decide to stake your whole ministry there?

Update on Tim Irvin

I received the following note from my parents (Paul & Bonnie).  They had just talked to my Aunt Darolyn on the phone about her son, Tim. 
 
I think it to be important to update you all on Tim Irvin.  You have been
faithful in prayer and would appreciate your continuing to do so.....
We received a call from Darolyn less than 30 minutes ago.   She and Maurice
just arrived back in Tempe Arizona.....
Tim is in a hospital in Phoenix - having been flown there from L.A.  He has a
staff infection, is on 2 antibiodics plus a third intraveineously.

Tim had been totally prepped for the transplant surgery -- a respirator,
tubes in side of neck & groin, catheter, plus being paralized by medication
to keep him from any movement during the surgery.

After the Doctors determined the one cadaveor lung was defective the surgery
was aborted.   It took quite a while for him to regain conscieness.He felt
his chest as he was coming to.    Darolyn told him that the surgery was
aborted.

At this time he is not sure he can or wants to go thru with this surgery.

He is reading the O. T.  accounts of God acting at the last minute and
weeping before God to heal him.

We thank all of you for your prayers and again say please continue.
