Update on Tropical Storm Ernesto and on the Walley family

The message I sent out yesterday afternoon about Tropical Storm Ernesto
didn't come through until this morning. It looks like the storm is not
going to be too bad here after all, and we are thankful. I expect that
we'll get some wind and rain this afternoon, though. We need the rain!
A Hope Chest reader named Linda wrote: "Just a note to say we will keep
you in our prayers - we lost our home in Hurricane Katrina last year and
know just what you are feeling and worrying about. We pray Ernesto will
be kind and do very little if any damage. My husband and I had bad days
yesterday remembering all that happened. We now live in Illinois, but
seeing the storm heading toward US shores again brought it all back. Do
take care and stay safe - love the newsletter, it is so uplifting. God
bless you all."
So we can also pray for all who are still being affected by Hurricane
Katrina from last year.
My friend Bonnie sent an update on the Walley family in Gainesville,
Florida. Luke's six year old brother Daniel is also sick, and their
mom is worried about the two youngest boys (ages 2 years and 3 months)
getting it, too. Please pray for protection from this lung infection
illness on all seven Walley boys and their parents, Paul and Jennifer.
