We will never get anywhere in life without discipline, be it in the arts, business, athletics, or academics. This is doubly so in spiritual matters. In other areas we may be able to claim some innate advantage. An athlete may be born with a strong body, a musician with perfect pitch, or an artist with an eye for perspective. But none of us can claim an innate spiritual advantage. In reality, we are all equally disadvantaged. None of us naturally seeks after God, none is inherently righteous, none instinctively does good (cf. Romans 3:9-18). Therefore, as children of grace, our spiritual discipline is everything – everything! I repeat…discipline is everything!

I am soon to be going offline- probably within the week. Here are the
needs I am praying for right now.
1. that jeff get house arrest, but if he can't that he at least get work
release. They may not give house arrest for fear that he would contact
us, he could contact us from work as well so they may not give him work
release at all.
2. That God would show me what avenues to take for help. For instance:
is there work that I can do from home to make money to pay the bills-
daycare, vegetarian cooking classes etc..., is there a organization out
there that provides help/support for women in my situation etc...
3. That this months rent would be paid (August), the money needs to be
in the account by the 5th of August
4. That they would not garnish his wages so severely that he can't pay
the bills.
5. For my childrens emotional needs.

I do appreciate your prayers. Since I will be offline I am enclosing my
personal address. If any of you would like to drop me a note. I would
love to have a penpal. Having you all to chat with has been a joy in my
life. KNowing that you all are praying has also been comforting. I will
miss you all and someday in the future hope to be back with you all
again.
