Using Our Influence to Protect
People in Danger of Being Killed

This is a short note to show that I AM still alive and that I believe WE
really ought to protect the lives of others.

I really wanted to get a message out about our biblical responsibility
to do what we can to slow down, stop, and reverse the tragic killing of a
certain class of people in the USA. That class of people is the unborn and
now even some who are in the very process of being delivered from their
mother's womb!

Look at the book of Esther and see if you can find the principle of
saving life through the influencing of those in position of civil authority.
I certainly can!

Esther put her own life at risk - "If I perish I perish." (Esther
4:16) --
and did this in order to rescue the lives of many of her people who
were about to be mercilessly slaughtered. Sound familiar? Many of
OUR people are being slaughtered every day!

With all the outcry of "We need to fix Social Security and Medicare", I
find it interesting that the same people who use such a complaint to take
advantage of the fears of the elderly are the people who are SO adamant
about the mother's right to choose. This so-called "right" involves the
taking of human lives that would have helped the rest of us to carry the tax
load and/or would have provided more people to help take care of the elderly
(which I prefer over government programs). What we reap we will certainly
sow. Chickens DO come home to roost!

And you and I dare not think that we will escape the tragic trend of
discriminatory killing. We dare not think that it will end with helpless
babies. If this is not stopped, we are likely to teeter and topple over the
precipice of moral ruin into the extermination of elderly, handicapped, and
other sick and weak people (euthanasia).

Let us vote to save lives and to save the soul of our nation! I realize
that prayer and holy living -- including winning the lost to Christ - are
the very best ways to help our country, but we ought to use every avenue
within our ability to glorify God and to help people.

Yours In Christ,
Martin Overfield
