Vinegar questions

I have some questions for all of you about vinegar.
This was posted to another list that I used to be on, which I saved for
future reading
and use, and have now decided to try some of these.
I'm just wondering if anyone here uses vinegar in any of these ways and find
it to be satisfactory?
My questions are after a couple of the suggestions. Any info anyone can
give
is appreciated!

This info is taken from the book Apple Cider Vinegar by Paul and Patricia
Bragg.
White vinegar is an effective and inexpensive household cleaner, deodorizer
and disinfectant: which replaces commercial househould cleaners that are
full of harmful chemicals and additives.
Sink, Tub and Shower:
spray with 80/20 vinegar-water mixture, leave 5 minutes, then scrub and
rinse
Q: Has anyone used this spray like they would one bought from the store
that you can spray and leave on?
Toilet Bowl:
use 1/2 cup straight vinegar let stand an hour or more and flush.
Q: Is vinegar safe for septic systems?
Glass and China:
stop spotting by minxing 1/2 vinegar in dishwater or by placing 1 cup
vinegar on bottom rack of electric dishwasher before starting
Q: Will vinegar take the white (Lime?) marks off glasses that makes
them look old/used? And, would it be good to use vinegar in EVERY
wash cycle in a dishwasher? to prevent the marks?
Unwanted Grass and Weeds:
pour on straight vinegar
Q: How much would someone pour (or spray?) on weeds? Just enough
to saturate the ground, or LOTS to get to the roots? I'm thinking it
probably
wouldn't be good to use in a veggie garden as it might kill the plants??
Has anyone used vinegar on cabbage/brocolli/cauliflower plants to keep the
bugs off? Or know of anything else?
