The concept of a DragonRaid tabletop wargame is intriquing. Though I see
some hurdles to creatingsuch a game and yet maintaining the theological
strengths of the RPG.People will want to have Dragon armies (I would), using all of those cool
monster attacks, and using sin to weaken ones LightRaider foes. This, though
fun for mature players, could be a real stumbling block to some.Lightraiders dont strike me as stand-up fighters, but rather commando-types,
using hit and run and similar tactics. This is understandable, as fielding a
large, massed army in the field with flying, napalm-spitting dragons would
likely be a suicide.Unless more powerful units and allies are brought into it, they will likely
get anihilated in open battle. Also, dragonslaves would feature heavily in a
dragons army, and LR's would very
likely have to kill them in the field. For LightRaider armies, some suggestions:
Talking Animal units as well as Beast Riders (Cool minis here).
Angel Units, though perhaps dependent upon certain conditions being met.
Good Creatures, such as the Treelithil, Elves and such would be a good idea,
to help even out struggles with all of those trolls and orcs.Seige Weapons, perhaps some much like those designed by
Leonardo DaVinci
