What's going on with you all?

Posted by: hopechestnews <hopechestnews@...>

Dear Hope Chest friends,

Earlier this week I tackled a storage bin of old personal records, trying to archive 44 years of life into notebooks for each decade.  As I leafed through the pages of letters, sermon notes, programs, journal entries, and more, I was struck over and over again by how many precious people have sowed seeds of kindness, wisdom, and prayers into my life.  I am so thankful for this, and I pray that my life will have the same effect on others.

I also realized how long I've been out of touch with so many people I have known in the past, some of whom are on this Hope Chest subscription list.  You know a lot about my life, but I don't know much about yours.  I would love to hear from you all, especially those I have personally known but not kept up with, but really any of you! Would you be so kind as to send me a quick e-mail letting me know what's going on in your life?  I won't be able to answer all of them, but I would love to hear from you.  It gives me an idea of what to write in the future issues, as well.

I also wanted to let you know that there is some new stuff up on my blog at http://www.VirginiaKnowles.blogspot.com.  If you want to subscribe to it, you can do so at the top right of that screen.  I usually post something short at least once a week.  Today's entry is called "Mommy Brain."  I'm sure many of you can relate!

Also, if I could ask another favor -- most new Hope Chest subscribers join the list because someone else told them about it.  Do you have a few friends who might be interested in reading a real life perspective on home schooling and family life?  Then I encourage you to forward my most recent issue, "Come Weary Moms."  If you don't still have it in your e-mail files, they can read it on my web site at http://www.VirginiaKnowles.com/comewearymoms.  This issue seemed to hit the spot for many of you.  If you are weary, discouraged or frustrated with life, please understand that you are not alone!  Sometimes it helps just to know that others are hitting the same bumps that I am!   Let me encourage you: "God is good all the time.  All the time, God is good."  That's more than just a T-shirt slogan -- it's my hope for life!

Inside His Amazing Mercy,

Virginia Knowles
