by J. Randal MathenyFrom Psalm 105:16-22
When famine fell upon the land,
Had broken every staff of bread,
The Lord withheld his blessing hand,
But sent a blessed man ahead.His fettered feet were hurt and bound,
A collar of iron his shameful vest;
Until his dreams were proven sound,
The word of the Lord kept up his test.The pharoah sent to set him free,
Made Joseph lord of all his reign,
To teach the king's nobility,
And make God's gift of wisdom plain.1. Read about the background of this poem here

From Psalm 105:16-22

His fettered feet were hurt and bound,
