by J. Randal MathenyIt's fair to ask just who's a saint;
He's not the recluse who speaks in quaint
King James's ancient thees and thous
In sonorous tones, with furrowed brows;The saint is not above the tumble
Of life, whose rigors keep him humble;
His shoes are scuffed, his fingers soiled,
He sees his good intentions foiled.The saint must bite his wily tongue,
He holds his breath at the spiteful lung;
Temptations hound him, men revile,
He's homely and plain before their guile.No perfect man, this striving saint,
He may be weak, but refuses to faint;
The term deserves no special fuss:
The saint may be any one of us.____

CLOUDBURST POETRY -- FEEL THIS DROP:
They say the devil's in the details,
But Jesus fills the jot and tittle.
