winter dressing help

Over the past few years the Lord has really laid the issue of my clothing on
my heart. I have begun to slowly convert my wardrobe from pants to skirts.
However, I have a few questions I would really appreciate your wisdom on.
First off, I am finding it so difficult to locate conservative clothing. I
can sew however, I am NOT a professional and have barely managed to finish
one item in the past few years. Any easy solutions to this? Also, my size
makes it difficult as I am a 3-4x size.
Another thing is that we live in the Northwest. I am cold! How on earth do
I keep myself warm in these skirts? I have had my legs go numb during the
fall months already! I detest nylons...is there another alternative that I
just have not caught on to?
