Word for Today, Mon, 21 Aug 2000: Comforting News, For Me, For You
Quote from Forum Archives on August 21, 2000, 9:52 amPosted by: masinick <masinick@...>
Dear friends,I don't know about you, but if you are like many of us, I have
done more than my share of things that I am ashamed of. I am not
afraid to make mistakes. These are the things I grow from. But
there are times I have made choices that clearly "departed from
reason", if you get my meaning. I have done things that I deeply
regret. There is no way to change them. Some of these things
affect others, too, so it is not merely a matter of selfish
pride, (though that can factor itself in as well).I am exceedingly grateful that I do not have to continually live
in judgement of my errors, but instead, I am deeply loved,
completely accepted, and fully forgiven. Isn't that a liberating
way to be? It is not a license for blatant misbehavior, but it
sure is a joy to know that kind of complete acceptance.Brother Brian
