Yellow cucumbers/Canning

Hello,Tammy are your cucumbers yellow because they have been on the vine too long?
Or are they the yellow lemon shaped cucumbers? I've thought about trying
those kind.
If those are the kind you have let us know how they taste!I have been busy canning for most of this month. I've been making my own
spaghetti sauce and salsa...we now have over 50 jars, we have both quarts
and pints. This afternoon I start chopping more tomatoes and onions to
make some more. My 20 tomato plants are looking pretty dried up, but they
are still producing ripened tomatoes. The forecast looks like we may be
getting
our first frost here in our area this weekend, so we will be picking off the
ones
that have started to ripen and cover as many plants as we can.My sister and family are still living w/us as they wait to close on their
house,
so I have had the extra help with the canning this year! Also, my hubby sat
down the other night and chopped 16 cups of tomatoes for another batch of
salsa, as I chopped the onions
and my sister did the dinner dishes.Welcome Tammy! I'm sure you will enjoy the group...I've learned a lot here,
I usually just read the posts, but do ask questions here and there.Pam
