"YOM HA'ATZMAUT" Happy Birthday!

The next day after her 1st birthday on April 17, 1948, Israel was in war! Now on Yom Ha'atzmaut 54 years later she is still in war!
Terrorists hold no life sacred in their war against Israel. Not children eating a slice of pizza. Not teenagers strolling in a shopping mall. Not toddlers on their way to school, or mothers sipping coffee in a cafe. Not even families gathered for a Passover Seder.
Israel is at war! The Jewish State has become the front line in the global war on terror.
This is a pivotal moment in Jewish history, because what transpires in Israel effects each one of us! And we must rise to the occasion! Christians as well as Jews must stand beside our Israeli brothers and sisters and show the world that we will do whatever it takes to help them eliminate terror from this planet! Israel's Prime Minister has appealed to American Jews for support for Israel during this state of emergency Almost every family in Israel has either buried a loved one or sent one off to war.
Since the terror began, more than 400 Israelis have been murdered. It struck home to us when a young friend of ours was murdered as she sat in the International Protestant Church In Islamabad, Pakistan and was killed by a grenade thrown by a terrorist! 3,600 have been maimed! For Israel's tiny population, these numbers are staggering
The war of terror has shattered Israel's economy. Now, it threatens the nation's health care, education, resettlement and social welfare systems. The heartbreaking, unprecedented needs born of terror are multiplying, even as the nations resources are dwindling.
Hundreds of millions of dollars have been requested, and American communities are responding and mobilizing for Israel as we did in '48, '67 and '73. We must stand with Israel.
But Israel cannot win THIS war with just its Haganah {army}. They must turn to G-d! Jo-ann said to me coming home from church yesterday, " In all of the efforts of Zinni and Powell to make peace and end terrorism, I hear nothing of Israel turning to G-d! Zerubabel was told, "Not by might, not by power, but by my Spirit, says the Lord." The Lord says we need only to be still and He will fight for us! Only G-d can intervene and bring peace out of this chaos.
So what we all need to do is pray! Ask G-d to intervene for His people,,like He has always done! Our finances are needed, but they will not be the answer, the answer will only be the mighty voice of G-d saying ENOUGH! ENOUGH! is the only answer......
Psalm 122:6 says: "Pray for the peace of Jerusalem" Peace was her name so pray that her condition will verify her title.
Peace is wanted, expected, promoted and enjoyed in a church. If we cannot say, "Peace at any price," we may certainly cry, "peace at the highest price" War is not the churches element, it is peace! Verse 7 says that, "His heart is in Zion." G-d is waiting for every Jew and Christian to pray for peace in Israel! He is saying, "What is taking you so long, I am waiting to help you, I thought you would never ask!"
He wants us all to breathe the sweet savor of Shalom!
Walls were needed to keep the foe out, and the Lord was asked that those walls would prove sufficient security. May the fortifications to defend the City of G-d that no intruder may ever enter, may her ramparts rest in safety, as we all lift these prayers to Him Three walls surrounded her, so she had a trinity of security!
Jo-ann and I through this catalyst of the internet appeal to all of the Churches of the living G-d, represented by all of the pastors on pastor mail, and say to you: "We hail your assemblies!" On bended knees, we pray that America, Israel, Palestine and the entire world will have peace and great happiness. May Jehovah so send it. Amen.
