NOTE: Our revivalschool.com forum seems to be down at the
moment. It may take several days to fix. Very sorry.
----------Your PRAYERS NEEDED
- Andrew Strom.I am writing to you from our base camp in MS, about 40 miles
east of New Orleans. That city is under evacuation orders but
we are not. All day we have watched the dark masses of
stormclouds heading east. Rita is on the way.I have a very bad feeling about this hurricane. I think it is going
to be awful when it hits - worse than many think. I have seen
what a storm of this magnitude can do, and I fear for the coasts
of Texas and Louisiana tomorrow night. Tonight there were
thousands of motorists crawling along highways out of south TX
and LA. Some are advancing only a few miles an hour. There are
even cars running out of gas on the highways. Please pray
against panic taking hold, my friends. There are some specific teams of people that I would request
your prayers for at this time. John Elliott is a Foursquare pastor
from Hitchcock, Texas, close to Galveston - an excellent brother
who preaches the full gospel and has a real heart for the poor.
His team has been running a refugee camp and food center for
weeks now. The last I heard, they were bunkering down about
30 miles inland, preparing to ride out the storm. Another brother
named Russell Rayer has sent his family to safety, and is
preparing to weather the storm at his fellowship's relief center
in the south of Houston. He says all the stores are closed -
everyone is leaving. But he believes that God wants their center
open. Please pray for these ones, my friends. Also, Darren Smith's home base is in Joaquin on the TX/LA
border - just a few hours drive north of where the hurricane is
likely to strike land. Please pray for EVERYONE caught up in this situation, my
friends (there are thousands). I believe that every one of these
teams I have mentioned is going to be very effective in reaching
out to people in the aftermath of this storm.Thank you so much for your prayers. They are deeply appreciated
at this time.God bless you all,
Kindest regards in Christ,
Andrew Strom.
