Gods Word For The Christian Te

GOD’S WORD FOR THE CHRISTIAN TEENAGER

When choosing entertainment…

. “Abstain from all appearance of evil” (1 Thessalonians 5:22).

When ridiculed for witnessing…

. “And they departed from the presence of the council, rejoicing that they were counted worthy to suffer shame for his name” (Acts 5:41).

When instructed by parents…

. “Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right” (Ephesians 6:1)

When tempted to smoke…

. “An ungodly man diggeth up evil: and in his lips there is as a burning fire” (Proverbs 16:27). “Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?” (1 Corinthians 3:16).

When taking a test…

. “Pray for us: for we trust we have a good conscience, in all things willing to live honestly” (Hebrews 13:18).

When speaking to others…

. “To speak evil of no man, to be no brawlers, but gently, shewing all meekness unto all men” (Titus 3:2).

When participating in sports…

. “And if a man also strive for masterise, yet is he not crowned except he strive lawfully” (2 Timothy 2:5).

When tempted to drink beer, wine or liquor…

. “But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the King’s meat, nor with the wine which he drank: therefore he requested of the prince of eunuchs that he might not defile himself” (Daniel 1:8). “At the last it biteth like a serpent, and stingeth like an adder” (Proverbs 23:32).

When planning for the future…

. “Order my steps in thy word: and let not any iniquity have dominion over me” (Psalms 119:133).

When choosing companions…

. “Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?” (2 Corinthians 6:14).

. God has a plan for YOU! He earnestly desires to work out this plan in your life. Don’t spoil the plan! Just ask yourself the question, “What would Jesus do?”
. Remember God loves us as His children. We love Him as our Father but we also fear His wrath.

. “And ye have forgotten the exortation which speaketh unto you as unto children, My son, despise not thou the chastening the Lord, nor faint when thou are rebuked of Him: For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth. If we endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not? But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons. . Furthermore we have had fathers of our flesh which corrected us, and we gave them reverence: shall we not much rather be in subjection unto the Father of spirits, and live?
. For they verily for a few days chastened us after their own pleasure, but he for our profit, that we might be partakers of his holiness.
. Now no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless, afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which be exercised thereby.” (Hebrews 12:5- 11).

. “Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world, If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him” (1 John 2:15).

. “Let no man despise thy youth; but he thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith in purity” (1 Timothy 4:12).

. The Christian Teen-ager must be as different from the world as the world is different from the Bible.
