Facilitating Your Spiritual Break
Out - Part 2 (Prayer)

Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things,
which you do not know. - Jeremiah 33:3 NKJV.

Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask
or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the
church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen. - Ephesians
3:20-21 NKJV.

Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything
according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us, whatever
we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him. - 1 John
15:14-15 NKJV.

Dawson Trotman was the founder of the Navigators, which
has had a worldwide ministry beginning during the Second World War. Before
Dawson was the founder and leader of the Navigators, he was a truck driver. His
spiritual break out was facilitated by memorizing 1,000 verses of Scripture during
a three year period and through an intense period of prayer. Dawson felt called
to pray for the nations of the world and to do this he and a friend; Walt
Stanton would meet and pray at 5:00 A.M. over a map of the world before going
to work. They placed their fingers on most of the countries on the map asking
God to raise up men from each of these countries to make Christ known just as
Jesus said to do:
“Then He said to His disciples, ‘The harvest
truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Therefore pray the Lord of the
harvest to send out laborers into His harvest (Matthew 9:37-38 NKJV).’”

Dawson and his friend continued in prayer over the
nations of the earth for 42 days until the burden of prayer for the nations in
this intense way was lifted. Little did Dawson and his friend know that their
prayers would help pave the way for the Navigators to establish ministries in
all of those countries that they prayed over. Through this time of prayer, God
revealed promises to Dawson from Scripture. One of those promises was
“And they that shall be of thee shall build the old waste places: thou
shalt raise up the foundations of many generations; and thou shalt be called,
The repairer of the breach, The restorer of paths to dwell in (Isaiah
58:12).”

Through a period of intense prayer, Dawson Trotman
experienced a “spiritual breakout.” God can do the same in your life.
Set aside a time to pray about what God has placed on your heart. Call to Him
so that He may,
“answer you, and show you great and mighty
things, which you do not know.”
Call to Him
so that He may,
“do exceedingly abundantly above all that we
ask or think, according to the power that works in us.”

Prayer Requests: Please pray for
an end to the racial hatred in the USA and that it will be replaced with peace
and love. Please pray for Justin Lewis who is battling cancer. He is a young
Christian man with a wife and two children. Unless God intervenes there is
little hope for him. Please also pray for Shane Hall who has cancer and for all
those afflicted with this terrible disease. Many prayer needs are posted at the
Burning Bush website on the Prayer Request page. You can also post your prayer
requests there (Of course, I am always in need of prayer - please pray for
me.).
