Like Adam and Eve, most of the time the real object of our worship isn’t some creature out there, it’s this creature right here. In the end, my idolatry centers on me. What’s more, if I can persuade you or bully you or manipulate you, my idolatry will include you worshiping me as well.

First Day of School & Email Problems

Hi there!

Today was Matthew's first day of elementary (k-4). He did not want to stay.
I took my Mom with me to help me 'keep' him there. We left, with him
wanting to leave. We made him stay.

When I picked him up, he said that he did want to go back tomorrow.

I know the first two weeks, he'll fight me of a morning about wanting to
stay (he did this in preschool), but after that, he'll be fine!
