Fwd: Committee/Cabinet Prayer Points

Posted by: masinick <masinick@...>

Dear friends,

Please remember to pray, not only for one another, but for our leaders as well.
We are well within the Lenton season. In the Christian Church, that is a time
that we recall the events leading up to the death and resurrection of our Lord
and Savior, Jesus Christ. It is a good time to remember all that He has done
for us, and to earnestly seek Him - through reading the Bible, to learn about
Him, through study, to understand what we've read, through church activities,
to encourage and support one another, but most importantly, through prayer,
which is our one means of communicating directly with our Creator.
Communication is two way, it involves both listening and speaking.
So often, we will do one, but not the other. I think God wants to hear from
us, but I also think He wants us to listen to Him.

There is a National Day of Prayer coming up on the first Thursday of May. This
year that falls on May 3. Find out if there is a National Day of Prayer event
where you live and/or work. If you cannot find one, why not START ONE (even if
it is small in scope). The Bible tells us that wherever two or more are
gathered in the Name of Jesus Christ, He is there with us. So let's gather!

I want to find out if there is a National Day of Prayer event in Nashua, NH.
There usually is one in Concord, NH, where I live, because it is the state
capital. But Nashua, NH, where I work, is actually a much larger community.
If there is nothing organized in Nashua, I want to make it happen. I hope that
you have similar aspirations in your home community. God deserves our
reverence every day, but it is nice to have a special time to set aside, just
to talk with Him. I hope you're interested.

Brother Brian
