Fwd: Countdown to National day of Prayer

Posted by: masinick <masinick@...>

Dear friends,

Prayer is an important matter, and I frequently mention specific
prayer needs. The National Day of Prayer is a week away - next
Thursday. I would encourage you to pray regularly, but I urge
each of you to make prayer a regular part of your life, if it
isn't already a key part of your relationship with God.

I have never seen our country and our world in as much need for
prayer as I see today. There are threats of war in the Middle
East almost constantly, there are tenuous relationships between
the U.S. and China, there is persecution of Christians in many
parts of the world, and there is a general moral decay that has
gone on for some time, and doesn't seem to be going away.

Yet, in spite of all of that, it is also clear that God is at
work. He continues to move in the lives of people. He sustains
us every day, in spite of our inconsistent way. There is no
doubt that God loves us. Please, give thanks to God for continually
watching over us, and ask Him to bring direction and divine
intervention in each of the matters mentioned in the prayer
notes below. Yes, in spite of me, in spite of people everywhere,
God is still in control, something I am extremely grateful to
know.
