Perhaps you can see why it is astonishing to me that so many people try to define true Christianity in terms of decisions and not affections. Not that decisions are unessential. The problem is that they require so little transformation. Mere decisions are no sure evidence of a true work of grace in the heart. People can make “decisions” about the truth of God while their hearts are far from Him.

I can't keep quiet any longer. After 18 years I'm getting another bass.
I thought I'd go for an MTD Heir, but after hearing about all the mods
that Dennis Weatherly's been making and thinking they sounded like stuff
I'd probably want to do, I decided an Heir wasn't the right bass for me.
So, I ordered the parts for a 5-string Warmoth Gecko.

I've done most of the work I'll need to do putting together the Gecko
before on my current bass; so I'm confident I can handle the job. The
only thing I'm concerned about is the wieght. Shipping came in at 13.5
pounds.

I'll report on how it putting it together goes and how the final product
matches expectations. Remember, I'm comparing it to a 18 year old
defretted Electra, YMMV.

Well, back to the front porch where I'll be living until UPS person arrives.
