I'm smiling all the time because I can't hear a word
you're saying.
I'm very good at telling stories - over and over and
over and over.
I'm aware that other people's grandchildren are not as
bright as mine.
I'm so cared for: long-term care, eye care, private
care, dental care.
I'm not grouchy, I just don't like traffic, waiting,
children, politicians.
I'm positive I did housework correctly before the
Internet.
Mark 17
A minister told his congregation, "Next week I plan to preach about the sin of lying. To help you understand my sermon, I want you all to read Mark 17."
The following Sunday the minister asked for a show of hands to indicate how many had read Mark 17. Every hand went up. The minister smiled and said,
"Mark has only sixteen chapters. I will now proceed with my sermon on the sin of lying."
On The Farm
On the farm where I was raised, home canning was a big thing. Most folks had a garden and ate out of it all summer; the surplus was put up in jars for the winter. The common saying was: "We eat what we can, and what we can't, we can."
Questions
When Bradley, was about 5, he would ask about a
zillion questions a day. "What about this? What about that?
What about the other?"
One day I said, "Brad, what would happen if I asked as many
questions as you do?"
He shot back, "Well, then, you might be able to answer some
of mine."
