As we send this letter, we are a mere four days away from boarding our
United flight in Springfield, MO, enroute to Giessen, Germany via
Chicago and Frankfurt. We wanted to bring you up to date on a number of
very important topics, and ask you to take special time to pray for us
and for all involved in this two-month ministry venture. We are
thrilled to be returning to Giessen to partner with "F" in ministering
to a new group of Farsi speaking refugees and immigrants.
At the same time, we feel a sense of gross inadequacy for the task. Our
schedule will be much heavier this year than last, and there will be
more ministry points than last. It is very possible we may find
ourselves stretched and challenged more than any time in recent years.
Our plans call for us to leave Thursday morning, July 31st, as Melody
and Dan Hoppers take us to the Springfield-Branson Regional Airport,
and we return to the same on Tuesday, Sept 30th.
Please make it a point to pray for us daily; we need it more than ever
before.
Remember that Giessen is 7 hours ahead of Central time in the U.S.
Twelve O'clock Noon in Giessen is 5:00 AM Central, 4:00 AM Mountain, and
3:00 AM Pacific, the same day.
