"Marriage"

A six-year-old boy told his father he wanted to marry the
little girl across the street.

The father being modern and well-schooled in handling
children, hid his smile behind his hand.

"That's a serious step," he said. "Have you thought it
out completely?"

"Sure," his young son answered. "We can spend one
week in my room and the next in hers. It's right across
the street, so I can run home if I get lonely in the night."

"How about transportation?" the father asked.

"I have my wagon, and we both have our tricycles,"
the little boy answered.

The boy had an answer to every question the father
raised.

Finally, in exasperation, the man asked, "What about
babies? When you're married, you're liable to have
babies, you know."

"We've thought about that, too," the little boy replied.
"We're not going to have babies. Every time she lays
an egg, I'm going to step on it!"

"Moroccan Wallet"

A lawyer had successfully handled a difficult law case for a wealthy friend.  Following the happy outcome of the case, the friend and client called on the lawyer, expressed his appreciation of his work and handed him a handsome Moroccan leather wallet.

The lawyer looked at the wallet in astonishment and handed it back with a sharp reminder that a wallet could not possible compensate him for his services.  "My fee for that work," acidly snapped the attorney, "is five hundred dollars."

The client opened the wallet, removed a one-thousand dollar bill, replaced it with a five-hundred dollar bill and handed it back to the lawyer with a smile.

"Keep My Mouth Open"

They were on their way to the hospital where their 16-year-old
daughter was scheduled to undergo a tonsillectomy. During the ride,
they talked about how the procedure would be performed.

"Dad," she asked, "how are they going to keep my mouth open during
the surgery?"

"That's easy," he said. "They're going to give you a phone."
