Christ’s death was substitutionary… Jesus was taking our place. That is why the charges brought against Him were blasphemy and treason, for these are the very charges we face before the judgment seat of God. We have made ourselves into gods, and thus blasphemed His holy Name; we have rebelled against His rightful rule over our lives, and we are guilty of high treason against his gracious majesty.

    Maybe I missed it, but when I've been seeing the movie ratings (how much they earned the first weekend), I see the secular press fainting ofr joy over Shrek (which I won't be seeing - too much ungodliness.  I'm sorry I ever watched the first one) and not a mention of The Passion, which broke all kinds of records.
    Maybe this is like the top-ten for books, which conveniently forget to mention that the Bible has been the top selling book in America for decades.  So they just leave it off the list.
   So much for objectivity, eh?
