[NBC] Prayers are working (and still needed)

Posted by: mbutts <mbutts@...>

Guys and gals,

I got back from a meeting and was reading my e-mails while on hold, and I
was just simply overwhelmed, sobbing at my desk for the grace and love you
all extended to me and my family. Words cannot express how much that meant
to me.

Wanted to update a little:

On the sewer line; The 2nd guy I called out unclogged another mass of tree
roots. It was his opinion that the tree roots are going to keep growing into
the 50 year old concrete line, but he didn't find any evidence of mud in the
line, so he believes the line hasn't collapsed. In bad shape, but it can
wait. Also, his estimate was way cheaper. $2200 to do the line, plus I would
have to pay a fencing company to replace my neighbors chain link. He
suggested trying to go through my neighbors yard with the backhoe, since the
main is in there anyway, so maybe by replacing that part of the fence, I
wouldn't have to cut down the tree. At any rate, that sounded a lot better
than $5100. It was about 9 months ago that I had to have the line cleared
out, so I'll wait until I have to get it done again and evaluate the need at
that time. This will hopefully give me some time to figure out financially
what we need to do.

Now the specific prayer we need: J's mom called our contact in Deaconess
Home last night, claiming that she didn't understand the parental
termination papers, and needed an interpreter. Court is today at 2. Now
Deaconess has offered to pay for a lawyer to go over these papers and called
her every day since Friday to ask if she had any questions. They were going
to try to get a court approved interpreter this morning, but it may be too
late. It is their opinion that she is just frightened that she will be in
trouble for abandoning J. She kept saying over and over. "It's not my fault.
I gave her to my family. They can't blame me."

Anyway, pray that all will go well at 2pm.

God bless all of you for showing me the love of Christ,

Monte
