We run three tape decks, piggy backed together. The
mixer has a pair of phono outs, which go to the top deck.
the sockets at the tape deck end are are right angles to
the lead so you can not only plug them into the inputs on
that deck but also take another phono lead down to the
inputs of the next deck.

I'm sure there's a limit on how many you can chain
together but three seems to work fine (we then squeeze
out a fourth tape by using the fast dubbing facility on the
newest of the decks).

That wouldn't cost much to try, so it might be an easy
win.
