My vote would be for heavier BUT one of the difficulties
with B strings is that they are so thick that the weight of
the string begins to interfere with the way the it vibrates
when plucked (thus affecting sound and feel). Although
I've not got a huge amount of experience (being in the
'blue moon' school of string changing), I've found tapered
strings have worked well.

With these, the string is narrower - or sometimes the
core is fully exposed - at the bridge, and so the thickness
of the string doesn't interfere with the vibration so much.
It's another angle that might be worth trying as you look
for the kind of strings that complement the
characteristics of your instrument and the sound and feel
you prefer.

The action and intonation adjustments on the bridge
might well be different from the other strings (again due to
its thickness) in order to make it feel relatively consistent
and to play in tune up the neck, but I can't think of
anything specific.

Of course, if it really frustrates you, you could try tuning
EADGC instead 😉
