Re: Kid's bass again{"daisy"}

Posted by: davidrenewright <davidrenewright@...>

Wally,
My son was looking at basses and we came across the Daisy and the other one.  They are most definately geared for small hands (smaller?) and this is where I'll get flamed, but geared more toward the female persuasion. (sorry, sorry!)  Just keep that in mind.  I think it was in the October or November issue of Bass Player there is somewhat of a review on those two.

Subject: [CB] Kid's bass again
regarding Bass for the kid.

I'll probably buy a $200 used bass, but I'm tossing possibilities around.
I'm looking for input on the Fender "Highway 1" bass.
Is that bass made in the US? It can be had for $629 and the description seams to indicate it's US made.

And has anyone looked at the "daisy" bass or it's sister the "heart breaker"?

I still have a short list of possible basses for my kid that includes : the short scale Gretch, Fender Mustang, and the short scale Epiphone EB-O.
Thanks,
Wally in Maine
